{Momma's hands} Savannah, Georgia Family Photography

My mother's hands have done many things in her 80 plus years.
From beating my butt when I needed it, to softly kneading dough
for the best little buttermilk biscuits you will ever put in your mouth.

She has always made them small, about the size of a 50 cent piece.
Which is perfect. You just pop the whole thing in your mouth
and get all that yumminess at once.

It is nothing to eat a dozen or so sometimes even before they make it to the table.
I have often wondered through the years why she didn't
roll them out and cut them with a biscuit cutter.
As I got older I realized they would not have been as special, if she had.

When momma starts making biscuits everyone in the house gathers to watch,
we have done this pretty much all of my life.
Many of us have tried to make momma's biscuit, with not much success.

Why do the same ingredients, put together in the exact same way, not equal the same results?

Because they are not made by momma's hands.

Her biscuit are made with LOVE, every biscuit is a little gift from momma's hands and her heart.
Thank you momma for always loving us and for teaching us
that the best gifts always come from the heart.

It was so much fun this Christmas seeing a few of her great grand daughters
showing interest and knowing that another generation
is getting to share in all the love that my momma's hands have to offer.
hugs & happy new year everyone, Cherry
